Throughout our projects, we build responsible and sustainable considerations into every stage of our refits. Our most recent project – our Sunseeker 75 – was specified with several sustainable, recycled fabrics, making the materials and yacht ‘circular’ in nature.
The fabrics for each Cabins headboard on the Sunseeker 75 are environmentally conscious, sustainable materials made from waste plastic bottles. Each fabric is fully recyclable, meaning they have been repurposed for future use – similarly to the yacht they now sit within.
These fabric suppliers have partnered with the Marine Conservation Society and Trees For Life, and for every metre of fabric sold, a percentage of proceeds are donated to help protect our seas, shores and wildlife, and restoration projects.
The stunning dark teal carpet which runs throughout the entire yacht – specified to tone down the yellow timber – is an eco-friendly tip-sheared carpet created using plastic waste recovered from the world’s oceans.

“My role at Setag is to make our clients visions of their yacht come to life in a way that is even more beautiful than they could of imagined.
My favourite part of my role is seeing a clients often quite vague vision turn into a stunning design they love. That moment when they realise what their yacht is going to turn into and just how big the transformation is going to be – is a highlight moment for me.
The most challenging thing about my role is that quite often there are significant tweaks to design throughout the initial and construction stages – to ensure we reach the best possible outcome. Also, making sure we are always thinking one step ahead of the client is not necessarily challenging but needs constant attention.
The most rewarding thing about my role is tricky to answer – there are so many aspects I find rewarding. The main highlight has to be meeting with the clients at the end of a project when they see the transformation for the first time…that is a very rewarding moment for the whole team.
All of our projects – for different reasons – have favourite elements or moments for me. Each project is so unique – they are very hard to compare, but from a personal standpoint I love the design of our soon to be released Sunseeker 75 project. This design oozes hotel sophistication.”
