We pride ourselves on creating exceptional, tailor-made yachts that capture the vision and aspirations of our clients. This project is a testament to this philosophy – a comprehensive and innovative transformation that touched every element of the yacht.
This project stands out not only for its level of customisation, but also for the sustainablity and cost-effectiveness it achieved.
The yacht has been totally transformed…the materials and technology used throughout – from upgrading the air conditioning and a state-of-the-art integrated Bang & Olufsen sound system – are super high-end; the level of design interaction is super yacht standard, as we would normally expect to see being spec’d on a 40+ M boat.

Our client, an individual with the resources to purchase a brand-new yacht, opted instead for a more sustainable approach by choosing to invest in a pre-owned yacht. His decision was driven by a desire to save both time and money while contributing to eco-conscious luxury by repurposing an existing vessel.
The Saloon now boasts a statement ‘rise and fall’ portside bar unit with a marble top, the bar built around specified glasses to fit inside. The portside curved sofa has been completely restyled, while the starboard sofa has been redesigned. There is a new coffee table and new curvaceous dinette sofa with a matching oval dinette table. Feature lighting, and new headlining has been added, together with sidelinings and window linings throughout the entire yacht.

The Galley includes a new worktop and galley front, with a bookshelf design replacing the previous glass divider, and all new appliances added – with new crockery & glassware supplied from the previous Princess M-Class upgrade specification options.
Nothing has been overlooked on this project – we have created the best value for money mini super yacht.
There are new helmseats at the dash, with an all-new navigation suite, new panelling and headlining, duckpond and console pod all re-covered. A complete electronics upgrade including Raymarine screens, i70s, autopilot, transducer, cyclones & VHF.

We assisted in the search for this vessel and held the customers hand from start to finish. We sourced this boat in Turkey, organised the survey & transport of the boat from Turkey to our HQ in Plymouth.
The cabins have been restyled with new headboards, window liners, leather wrap for outboard units and bulkheads, new bed upstands and bedside lights, and a new mirror TV in the Forward Cabin – for vanity unit usage or a TV at a flick of a switch.
One of the key advantages of SETAG refit projects like this, is the speed with which they come together. While new builds often require long lead times of over 18-24 months, this pre-owned yacht was ready for a refit almost immediately. Then, once with us in Plymouth, the entire refit project took only 4 months to compete.
This project was quick even by our own standards – given the enormity of work completed. But to ensure we hit deadlines set by the client, we mobilised a team out to Turkey right at the start of the project when the shipping to the UK was delayed. This meant we could start on time with no delay.
The exterior features a new teak deck as well as all-new upholstery throughout, with feature lighting, exterior cameras, a complete replacement of all skin fittings and ball vales, a new glass aft Flybridge rail, with a custom-built aft sofa and the sunpad being completely removed & replaced with two bespoke-built curved bars. The foredeck sunpad has been restyled with an additional headrest to double up as a backrest (creating a bench set-up). In addition, there is a new Williams Tender with upholstering to match the main yacht – super yacht standard.
“Working with SETAG was a game-changer. I could have gone the traditional route of a new yacht, but their innovative approach to customisation & craftsmanship gave me exactly what I wanted – without the long wait or excessive cost. The fact that refitting an existing yacht is a more sustainable option was a further factor in my consideration. And who better to complete the work, than the team who designed, manufactured, engineered, and built the yacht in the first place. She now feels completely personal, reflecting both our taste and my brand. I now have a yacht that has a much higher quality and specification than I would have got with a new one. For me it’s a ‘no brainer’ and the SETAG team were simply exceptional on every level as well as a dream to work with.” – Princess 72, Owner.
Striking mother of pearl feature panels throughout the Heads means they are also enhanced with unique designs – stunning fusions of freshwater and saltwater pearl. Each piece is meticulously hand-placed – one design inspired by the vibrant bloom of sunflowers and the other elegance of freshwater pearls with the intricate design of delicate leaves. The individual movement of these sustainable pearls captivates the eye, with colours reflecting natural light and enveloping the space in a warm, luxurious ambiance.
Every inch of the yacht has been reimagined to align with the client’s vision. The design process was collaborative, with our Design team working closely with the clients to understand their exact requirements. The clients company logo and branding were subtly integrated throughout the yacht, lending a personal touch and a sense of ownership.
The project underwent major engineering works including upgrading the Air-conditioning from a Mediterranean spec to a Gulf spec & replaced all the chillers, new TVs throughout including modifying the Saloon flooring to fit a sufficient lifter and installing a mirror -tv in the Forward cabin. Shaft seals, 1,000 hour engine service, generator service, full lighting upgrade, wireless chargers, underwater lights, water purification system, Bang and Olufsen sound system throughout internally & externally…to name a few elements.
