This ‘classic yacht’ inspired interior brings an open and fresh feeling to this Princess V70 saloon. Classic in its mood and general palette – this interior is brought up to date with this use of matte lacquer, bold patterned cushions and simplified sofa shaping.

The four separate helm seats have been removed and replaced with two upholstered bench seats, giving the saloon a more residential and relaxed ambiance. Quality details have been added with embossed leather strapping to the linen helm seats and v-groove detailing to the port side tables.
Centrally a low powder coated aluminium coffee table helps to create a relaxed and inviting seating area.
The space is now fully carpeted with a herringbone wool design that runs fore to aft and gives the illusion of more floor space.
The colour palette for this scheme has a classic sophistication quality about it.
A base of natural matte linen weaves compliments the deep gloss timber. Rich details of tan embossed leather are cooled with denim blue pattern and oyster matte lacquer accents achieving a welcoming environment echoing the design standard of newly launched yachts today.
For this 34M Saloon we wanted to create the feeling of a slick city apartment using the generous proportions within this area – now significantly increased by removing the central bulkhead, enabling us to create that free standing feeling to the furniture design and layout within.

Find Out MoreThe brief for this project was to create a more residential and calming feeling whilst enhancing the original attributes of the 82 saloon & dining area. This design invites you into a comfortable lounge area with ample seating for friends and family to enjoy a well-earned tipple or canapé.
Find Out MoreThe brief for this project was to create a more residential and calming feel to the space, whilst enhancing the original attributes of the saloon and dining area. This design invites you into a comfortable lounge area with ample seating for friends and family to enjoy a well-earned tipple or canapé. Two curvaceous loose armchairs by high-end furniture designer Holly Hunt open the space on the starboard side and provide a sense of homeliness, where you can settle down with a good book or enjoy the views aft through the cockpit. Exquisitely crafted chevron timber flooring now runs seamlessly into the helm area. Within the timber at the aft end of the saloon sits a shimmering rug insert by Kelly Wearstler at the Rug Company. The grey blue colouration and wave-like patterning hints at the open seas, immediately drawing your attention to the views on both the port and starboard.

The custom bespoke sofa has been designed with high comfort expectations, incorporating a sprung-domed base and relaxed back cushions, creating a unique piece that is the ultimate in luxury. You are now able to sit and relax and enjoy uninterrupted views through the cockpit, thanks to what is now a chaise section at the aft end of the sofa. The curvaceous nature of the furniture elements in this seating area are echoed in the dining area, thanks to the introduction of a beautifully crafted walnut dining table and dining chairs by Italian designers Ceccotti. Plush furnishing fabrics and fresh line out materials are complimented with the harder elements of exquisite joinery and a custom-made art panel to the dining bulkhead that is softly backlit.
Beyond, the staircase bulkhead has been calmed, with the use of additional timber panelling and a beautifully simple but high-quality wall light fitting. Finally, by updating the previously dark window linings and sideboard frontage with much fresher choices, we have achieved a calming, elegant and modern space fit for today’s standard. The overall colour palette of grey and ink blues, deep moss green and fresh oyster whites further adds to the sense of tranquillity and provides a calming haven.
The master cabin continues the language of the main saloon, with a restful ethos at the heart of the design. The use of custom-crafted plantation shutters not only adds a tailored luxury finish but also provides the ability to achieve a much higher level of blackout than other more conventional window dressings.
A beautiful contrast is achieved between deep gloss Macassar Ebony timber bulkheads and the fresh woven, patterned fabric to the headboard bulkhead. Elegant ceramic wall artwork with a dreamlike quality has been installed to optimise the feeling of tranquillity in this space. Underneath, the now plump headboard has been raised in height for extra comfort. The curvaceous language seen in the saloon is echoed with a hero dressing table chair by Italian designers Ceccotti, while the shapely breakfast chairs are custom-sized to suit this space perfectly. The breakfast table and bedside tables now showcase beautiful marble tops, which not only lift the space visually but also provide a practical solution. The elegant saddle-stitched leather that wraps the base of the breakfast table is beautifully echoed as a wrap around the side tables.
The headlining in both the saloon and master cabin has been simplified and lightened, adding in a fresh, hard finish with light textural material that provides extra interest on closer inspection. With its tranquil colour palette, ultra-comfortable bed and deeply plush carpet, this is now the perfect place to unwind after a long day at sea or a delicious supper at your nearby marina.

This Princess 88 is entering an exciting new life as a charter yacht. With this in mind it was imperative to design a practical space that can deal with a busy environment and going on looking as great as the day it was installed for many years.
Find Out MoreThis Sunseeker 82 saloon provides an exemplary base for a fun and curvaceous redesign. We have significantly modernised the seating area with the removal of the timber to the upper part of the curved port side bulkhead and replacing this with a small geometric weave material.

Find Out MoreThis Princess 88 is entering an exciting new life as a charter yacht. With this in mind, it was imperative to design a practical space that can deal with a busy environment and continue to look as great as the day it was installed, for many years to come.
Now proudly standing at the entrance of this space sit 2 Donnely chairs, designed by ‘The Sofa & Chair Company’. The keyhole back design adds visual interest and allows light to pass through the chairs achieving a more open and welcoming arrival into the Saloon area.

The starboard two-seater custom sofa is now allowed to relax into its surroundings, since the armrest has been pushed back – and by designing one large base cushion, we have created a chaise or daybed feeling. The widened front of the base cushion and pushed-back arms offer a greater feeling of space on arrival in the saloon. A deep tan leather will wrap the inner backrest, creating a pop of sophisticated drama.
The L-shaped sofa now reflects the starboard sofa styling, with a pushed-back armrest and soft, comfortable cushions that will be covered in a beautifully durable and practical fabric, with stain-repellent properties for ease of care and longevity. By removing the previously busy rugs and adding two strong, looped-pile herringbone rugs, we achieve subtle visual interest as well as practicality. In ‘high-traffic’ areas, using a strong loop such as this will ensure that the rugs will continue to look new for longer.
The removal of a hard coffee table and addition of a round tan ottoman offers many functions within the space: as a coffee table, extra seating or a footstool, as well as providing another all-important splash of colour and visual drama. The previously dark curtains were dramatic in pattern – therefore, it was imperative to modernise them with a light, unobtrusive material that draped beautifully. Adding to this bright sophistication, we have updated the previous, heavily-patterned roman blinds with wide, light, matte Venetian slats that further lift the interior and add to the feeling of a bright, open space.
Additional comfort has been created in the dining area with the use of eight Byron dining chairs, again from the British design house The Sofa & Chair Company. Their simple design and low-back detail make this chair a modern, comfortable alternative that will stand the test of time. The deep teal upholstery is both hardwearing and stain repellent – providing a flash of colour that is perfect in a busy environment such as this.
Within the dining area, five timber-framed, fabric-wrapped panels will sit ceiling-to-floor length on the dining bulkhead. A fresh, textural fabric will be softly washed over with light provided by the stunning plaster-leaf wall lights by high-end British lighting designer Porta Romana.
A simple custom design to the sideboard leather, using beautiful saddle stitched leather, reflects the overall essence of quality and elegance in the space. A fresh re-covering of the ceiling panels in a light matte material welcomes this scheme into today’s – and even tomorrow’s – standards.
The overall visual drama is completed thanks to the introduction of a luxurious and tactile accessories package. This all-important final step ensures the scheme will make a lasting impression on anyone entering the boat.

Find Out MoreThe Fairline 78 main deck layout provides a great basis for a more divided seating and dining area approach. This really gave us the opportunity to create quite a residential lounge feeling to the aft seating area.

Setag are probably the only company who can carry out all the tasks as a ‘one stop shop’. Other yards were reluctant to price work and needed to subcontract many tasks meaning higher costs and longer lead times.
