The materials selected for this project would usually only be seen on yachts 80ft upwards – therefore creating the most luxurious Squadron 42 on the market by showcasing the owners individuality and expressing their personal taste.
This 2012 Squadron 42 was in a good condition – her design was just out of date and not to her new owners tastes and requirements. We were called upon to create an environment equalling, if not surpassing today’s standards to ensure the owners fell in love with her all over again.
Redefined by SetagThe entire project was complete in just under 4 weeks. It was delightful to work with an owner who has a professional design perspective themselves, working closely with Design Director Sarah Luck – choosing exquisite high-end materials, elevating this project to a truly luxurious preowned yacht.
Meet SarahWith SETAG, you can “make a huge difference when you buy something that’s secondhand, maybe a bit tired and then you put all of this beauty in it and you create what effectively is a brand new boat. Completely to your own liking, your own standard…creating the perfect boat for us.” – Squadron 42 owners, Aquaholic ‘Meet the Owner’ video.
A Setag refit is the only way to get new boat quality at pre-owned prices.
We look forward to realising the Art of The Possible with you.
This interior redesign that not only compliments the original design elements of the Fairline 58 but also evolves it into a space both practical and timeless- ultimately welcoming a 12 year old yacht to today’s standards.
Find Out MoreClaire, first launched in 1996, had been out of the water for three years when we got hold of her and she looked, smelled and felt like a 25-year-old boat. Claire’s new owners weren’t confident in the boats mechanical state and also felt like her interior state was unlivable for them – so we brought this 25 year-old yacht back to life.
Find Out MoreThis 2012 Fairline Targa 50GT project was complete within just over 3 weeks on the owners berth. The soft greys, contrasting colours and textures of this scheme now bring a modern high-end feel to this yacht.
Find Out MoreThis interior design & refit transformation not only complements the original design elements of the Fairline Squadron 58 but evolves it into a space that is both practical and timeless – ultimately welcoming a 12 year old yacht to today’s standards.
Replacing the saloon sofa with a modern version – made of eight larger, shapely cushions – transforms the styling of this piece into one of modern sophistication. The use of a light Sunbrella weave, as well as being practical, will make this area feel a lot fresher.
We have selected a beautiful textured carpet that will add to the feeling of openness and modernity, whilst providing a practical yet homely feeling.
Replacing the dinette leather with a fresh, light colour, and introducing updated materials to the headlinings and window linings, will transform this interior into a welcoming, sophisticated space that is set for many years to come.
This ‘before’ image shows the impact of a decade of enjoyment given to previous owners.
The introduction of a hardwearing carpet is not only practical, but also lifts the space by adding a beautifully textured element to the design. The dinette, now upholstered in a light leather, brightens the forward end of the saloon, whilst a new indoor-outdoor fabric upholstery on the main saloon sofa adds both comfort and versatility.
A selection of beautiful materials with practicality at their core have been specified for this Fairline 58 saloon.

The accessories package includes a selection of six scatter cushions, dramatic yet sophisticated patterns that tie the dark galley worktop and new updated upholsteries together. This creates a fresh new look that complements the original design style. Also within the accessories package are natural linen look curtains, which complete and update the interior by creating a sense of relaxed informality.
Now, there is no need to Compromise. A refit is not just a solution to your challenges – but instead it’s protecting your investment. A sensible way of buying, instead of solving a challenge once you’ve bought it.
Let us transform your dream yacht into a reality.
We look forward to realising The Art of The Possible with you.
We believe that true luxury evolves through a lifetime of dedication. But it is often hard to quantify what raises something to the level of a luxury product. It is more than a name or a logo: rather it is an attitude, a constant striving for perfection.
Find Out MoreThis Sunseeker 82 saloon provides an exemplary base for a fun and curvaceous redesign. We have significantly modernised the seating area with the removal of the timber to the upper part of the curved port side bulkhead and replacing this with a small geometric weave material.
Find Out MoreA fresh & vibrant lease of life for this Sunseeker 90. The previously dated furniture has been removed and replaced with sleek, bespoke sofas in a fresh textural weave and designer furniture pieces from Poliform & Holly Hunt.
Find Out MoreThe Fairline 78 main deck layout provides a great basis for a more divided seating and dining area approach. This really gave us the opportunity to create quite a residential lounge feeling to the aft seating area. It was important to replace the previously tired carpet with a more durable tighter pile, which now also runs over the central step to avoid the illusion of cutting the space in two. We removed and replaced the outboard timber bulkheads with a fresh textural weave to significantly open the space – but to fully achieve that luxurious yet comfortable elegance, a complete bespoke redesign of the corner sofa was essential. We softened the previously blocky cushions by adding additional comfort and sculpting to the seats and backrests; this statement corner piece has been finished in the highest quality material that is suitable both for indoor and outdoor use, ensuring that you can relax in it straight from the water.

The use of an occasional chair to the starboard side gives this space a different dynamic, with the new focus on an exquisite central coffee table, which further zones the seating area from the galley and dining beyond. A new timber frontage, crafted by our team, has been added to the drinks cabinet, matching the timber precisely to ensure a seamless finish. To complete the sophisticated modernisation of this area, the previous dark feature square on the headlining has been removed and fresh Venetian blinds, matching the colour of the surrounding woven bulkheads, create a greater sense of space and lightness. Feature artwork, sculptured lighting and plush accessories in a contrasting palette of fresh neutrals, rust red and black create a feeling of modern opulence.
The design of the master cabin follows in the footsteps of the main saloon – but in a more subtle manner. The contrasting opulence of the saloon is gently softened here with the introduction of a deep moss green tone and more relaxed patterning, ensuring this cabin will feel as calming as it is luxurious. Crafted joinery and fresh linens are enhanced with plantation shutters, achieving an informal yet tailored finish. Beautifully crafted and made to measure, the plantation shutters provide that all-important near-blackout function. This scheme, specified with organic bed linen, ensures a relaxed and toxin-free night’s sleep. An intricate saddle-stitched detail adorns the soft headboard leather, while extra height and comfort have also been added to make this statement piece as comfortable as it is beautiful. The bed base, still with ample storage, is now wrapped in an oyster colour leather to match the headboard (also showcasing the beautiful saddle-stitch detailing).
The intricate details are echoed in the design and execution of the starboard sofa. The use of considered and crafted stitches on this piece shows our attention to detail even on the simplest of furniture shapes. As per the saloon, we have removed the strong contrast square within the headlining design, replacing it with a soft linen fabric and oyster colour matte lacquer, creating light textural interest. The introduction of flexible bed reading lights completes a sophisticated, functional and beautiful cabin design. Previously dated door hardware has been removed and replaced with high-end handles that are beautifully wrapped in hand-stitched leather, for that final layer of considered quality upon entering your bespoke cabin.

The perfect way to open up a new market: the "true reflection of luxury". Setag gets it: simplicity and personalisation are key – with the depth of knowledge to deliver.James Barke – Managing Director of Boats.co.uk
Setag are probably the only company who can carry out all the tasks as a ‘one stop shop’. Other yards were reluctant to price work and needed to subcontract many tasks meaning higher costs and longer lead times. If you are in any doubt speak to Chris and his team, they know boats like no one else.Delighted SETAG customer - Princess 460 Owner
