This Princess 88 is entering an exciting new life as a charter yacht. With this in mind, it was imperative to design a practical space that can deal with a busy environment and continue to look as great as the day it was installed, for many years to come.
Now proudly standing at the entrance of this space sit 2 Donnely chairs, designed by ‘The Sofa & Chair Company’. The keyhole back design adds visual interest and allows light to pass through the chairs achieving a more open and welcoming arrival into the Saloon area.

The starboard two-seater custom sofa is now allowed to relax into its surroundings, since the armrest has been pushed back – and by designing one large base cushion, we have created a chaise or daybed feeling. The widened front of the base cushion and pushed-back arms offer a greater feeling of space on arrival in the saloon. A deep tan leather will wrap the inner backrest, creating a pop of sophisticated drama.
The L-shaped sofa now reflects the starboard sofa styling, with a pushed-back armrest and soft, comfortable cushions that will be covered in a beautifully durable and practical fabric, with stain-repellent properties for ease of care and longevity. By removing the previously busy rugs and adding two strong, looped-pile herringbone rugs, we achieve subtle visual interest as well as practicality. In ‘high-traffic’ areas, using a strong loop such as this will ensure that the rugs will continue to look new for longer.
The removal of a hard coffee table and addition of a round tan ottoman offers many functions within the space: as a coffee table, extra seating or a footstool, as well as providing another all-important splash of colour and visual drama. The previously dark curtains were dramatic in pattern – therefore, it was imperative to modernise them with a light, unobtrusive material that draped beautifully. Adding to this bright sophistication, we have updated the previous, heavily-patterned roman blinds with wide, light, matte Venetian slats that further lift the interior and add to the feeling of a bright, open space.
Additional comfort has been created in the dining area with the use of eight Byron dining chairs, again from the British design house The Sofa & Chair Company. Their simple design and low-back detail make this chair a modern, comfortable alternative that will stand the test of time. The deep teal upholstery is both hardwearing and stain repellent – providing a flash of colour that is perfect in a busy environment such as this.
Within the dining area, five timber-framed, fabric-wrapped panels will sit ceiling-to-floor length on the dining bulkhead. A fresh, textural fabric will be softly washed over with light provided by the stunning plaster-leaf wall lights by high-end British lighting designer Porta Romana.
A simple custom design to the sideboard leather, using beautiful saddle stitched leather, reflects the overall essence of quality and elegance in the space. A fresh re-covering of the ceiling panels in a light matte material welcomes this scheme into today’s – and even tomorrow’s – standards.
The overall visual drama is completed thanks to the introduction of a luxurious and tactile accessories package. This all-important final step ensures the scheme will make a lasting impression on anyone entering the boat.

Find Out MoreThe Fairline 78 main deck layout provides a great basis for a more divided seating and dining area approach. This really gave us the opportunity to create quite a residential lounge feeling to the aft seating area.
Find Out MoreThis Sunseeker 82 saloon provides an exemplary base for a fun and curvaceous redesign. We have significantly modernised the seating area with the removal of the timber to the upper part of the curved port side bulkhead and replacing this with a small geometric weave material.
Find Out MoreThis beautiful saloon boasts enormous potential, with its sweeping window lines and spacious feeling; deserving of a rich, modern and elegant interior redesign.
Using the original sofa footprint, we have created a bespoke U-shaped piece that sweeps the port side of this saloon. It is upholstered to the highest quality in slate blue Rubeli fabric, with a stunning weave and glamorous sheen for a sumptuous first impression.

By simplifying the headlining details, we have created a recess to disguise the curtain and blind headers – a simple trick that provides a chic, clean sophistication. A plush velvet armchair by Bentley Home, exquisite lighting by Fendi Casa, intricate side table by Holly Hunt and glossy coffee tables by Minotti convey a contemporary opulence.
The scheme is completed with a stunning rug of hand-knotted Tibetan wool and silk by The Rug Company. This beautiful ‘smoke’ design carpet is set into the crafted chevron timber flooring, adding further character and elegance. Within the dining area, eight comfortable, sophisticated soft leather Fendi dining chairs sit around a beautifully crafted dining table, with a stitched leather base and inset marble top.
A fresh & vibrant lease of life for this Sunseeker 90. The previously dated furniture has been removed and replaced with sleek, bespoke sofas in a fresh textural weave and designer furniture pieces from Poliform & Holly Hunt.

Find Out MoreThis interior redesign that not only compliments the original design elements of the Fairline 58 but also evolves it into a space both practical and timeless- ultimately welcoming a 12 year old yacht to today’s standards.
Find Out MoreThis Sunseeker 82 saloon provided an perfect base for a fun and curvaceous redesign. We have significantly modernised the seating area with the removal of the timber from the upper part of the curved port side bulkhead, replacing this with a small, geometric weave material. Having opened up and enhanced the space visually, it was important to expand on the more shapely aspects of the saloon, creating beautiful bespoke sweeping sofas. The clean sofa design sports a quality sprung base and fixed curved backrests, which immediately update the design, bringing it in line with today’s expectations. The sofas have been finished with a top-stitched detail and the finest quality of indoor-outdoor fabric, for optimum effect and performance.
Centrally, we have specified a coffee table suitable for indoor and outdoor use. This piece, created by the Spanish design house Kettal, is a showstopper, with a marble top and powder-coated aluminium base.

The dining table has been considerately crafted in line with the coffee table finishes to fit perfectly within the dining area. Around it sit eight comfortable leather chairs by designer Poltrona Frau. A detailed colour change from timber to a light matte lacquer – together with the addition of soft mood lighting – lift the central ceiling, adding to the feeling of an updated, fresh interior. A plush carpet has been installed for that deep comfort and ‘home-from-home’ feeling. Fresh timber Venetian blinds now sit elegantly where the previously dark roman blinds once were, opening up the space and expanding your view of the horizon.
The final touch to complete any interior is the accessories package: here, ink blue and neutral colours in high-end fabrics add a sophisticated yet fresh feeling to the deep warmth of the cherry timber.
The feeling of fresh sophistication is echoed in the master cabin. Light plantation shutters provide an important near-blackout function, whilst also lending a fresh and relaxed ambience to the cabin. Here we have removed the previous heavy, headlining design and replaced it with a fresh, modern material to brighten the space. Plush carpet now provides that deep comfort underfoot. The previously dated sofa has been removed and in its place now sits a beautifully-crafted bespoke two-seater with sprung base and fixed backrest, emulating the sophistication of the new saloon sofas. The bed base (still with ample storage) and headboard have been modernised with added comfort and a light, fresh, woven fabric. A simplified textural panel behind the headboard, with two practical reading lights and the addition of plush organic bed linen, make this a calming place to unwind and read a book or catch up on the day’s news.
The introduction of smooth new cupboard and drawer catches as well as matching door handles provides an important layer of quality to the redesign. The deep ink blue feature artwork, luxurious accessories and fresh upholsteries once again cool the warmth of the cherry timber, creating the perfect balance of colour and contrast in this now homely-feeling stateroom.

The dining bulkhead panels have been removed, replaced by a bespoke shallow unit that has been designed to create an inset bar with extra storage and a mirrored back. The doors of the bar are wrapped in a beautiful stitched leather, with gloss black trims to the shadow recesses between – a detail that is echoed on the forward staircase bulkhead and above the outboard window pelmets. The elegant bar unit sweeps forward, creating a calming and sophisticated flow to the space. This is further amplified by the removal of the low-level bulkhead that once separated the dining area from the main seating area.
