- Project Type: ‘Remaster’ – Taking the building blocks from the original builder and bringing it up to a modern standard.
- Project Duration: 6 weeks
The owners, Mr & Mrs Hildyard, first engaged with us at Southampton International Boat Show in 2021 and were encouraged by our proposal of breathing new life into their beloved but dated yacht.
The entire scheme was centred around adding a modern luxurious feel to their family loved yacht – creating an environment for all to enjoy. We consciously specified beautiful yet tough easy to clean materials that are stain-resistant and cleanable – introducing livable luxury.

The refit “has given the boat a new lease of life…Coming on now, for the first time, we recognise it as our boat… but the smell and the quality of it, now it just feels like a brand new boat.”
“We are pretty blown away…very very pleased. I think it’s fabulous…it has transformed the boat.” – Owners.
A Personalised Service
“We’ve had a great time working with Setag, from the very first time we met at the boat show…to meeting Sarah multiple times…to get the right scheme…but nothing has ever seemed too much trouble. That has been one of the key selling points for us – having that personalised service and having a boat that is unique to us – is standout in its own right.” – Owner.
See the difference
Here we start with the Afters images against the Befores, which clearly demonstrate the design detail and craftsmanship involved in this project.
A few bespoke furniture pieces on this project include a newly designed Saloon feature TV unit. Beautifully upholstered panels now frame a recessed TV edged with chrome trims. Where the previous unit had significant gaps to either side, this unit now flows effortlessly from the wooden bulkheads.
The curved edges echo the original Galley design language meaning this transformation looks both modern and perfectly in keeping with the original design intent of a Targa 47.
Redefined by SetagUnique design
Bespoke designed helmseats including new carcasses and an updown mechanism – were specified by the client, creating a modern high-end feel to the yacht as soon as you step aboard.
“The difference is being able to have that wow factor and have something that is bespoke to you, designed to meet your requirements, what you like, what suits the boat colour scheme…you can really transform a boat for a modest amount of money compared to actually buying new or buying another used boat.” – The Hildyards, Owners.
Nick Burnham from the hugely popular YouTube channel Aquaholic sat down with Phil and Michelle, the owners of the beautiful Targa 47 we Remastered. Hear what they had to say about their experience working with us.

Targa 50GT – 2012
This 2012 Fairline Targa 50GT project was complete within just over 3 weeks on the owners berth. The soft greys, contrasting colours and textures of this scheme now bring a modern high-end feel to this yacht.
Find Out MoreSquadron 42 – 2012
This 2012 Squadron 42 was in a good condition – her design was just out of date and not to her new owners tastes and requirements. We were called upon to create an environment equalling, if not surpassing today’s standards to ensure the owners fell in love with her again.

Case Studies
We believe that true luxury evolves through a lifetime of dedication. But it is often hard to quantify what raises something to the level of a luxury product. It is more than a name or a logo: rather it is an attitude, a constant striving for perfection.
