A Retro Classic, Reborn
After our refurbishment on the left. Before on the right hand side.
The Transformation
Saloon Revival
The original interior felt heavy and dated, with worn fabrics and tired joinery. We stripped the Saloon & Helm area back and rebuilt into a fresh and uplifting space. We redesigned the headlining to simplify the lines, added a fresh upholstery to the old timber sidelinings and reupholstered the duckpond (above the helm).
Crisp lining upholsteries and textural woven fabrics, accented with deep navy cushions and hand stitched fluting details, creates a contemporary yet timeless look. A few elements in this redesign hark back to the yachts original styling – including two sculptural bespoke retro-inspired swivel chairs that elegantly combine leather and fabric.
Helm & Seating
The helmseat has been completely reimagined with a retro inspired design – much like the swivel chairs. This reupholster beautifully combines both leather and hand fluted fabric. Here we have retained the classic feel of the Fairline lines, but also introduced modern materials for comfort and durability.

Cabin Refresh
The dated fabrics and cluttered layout were replaced with simple, functional design that stays true to the 1980s spirit but feels fresh and inviting. Practical, durable & beautiful fabrics ensure longevity while keeping that retro edge alive.
Exterior Upholstery
Both the Cockpit and Flybridge underwent huge changes to the upholstery. Staying true to the original design story of the boat, we have used the classic triptych of Fairline colours with a little tweak…Red, Blue and White in this case – changed to Red, Blue and an elegant Grey-Taupe colour. This combined with hand stitched flutes and considered logo placement elevates both exterior areas to anew level of comfort & luxury.
A Timeless Transformation
This project celebrates everything we love about yacht refits – respecting the past while creating a future-ready space. This Fairline Sedan 36 may have been built in 1986, but today she stands as a shining example of how retro can be beautifully reimagined for modern life on the water.
Light & Space
We brightened the entire interior, enhancing natural light with soft-toned panels and discreet lighting. The result is a yacht that feels airy, modern, and effortlessly stylish while staying authentic to her heritage.
